There’s been a lot of buzz recently surrounding Jeremy Renner’s association with superhero movies. His performance in blockbuster films like Avengers: Endgame, Mission Impossible, and Wind River has thrust the actor into the limelight. Renner has played some of the most beloved comic book hero characters, from Hawkeye and Black Widow to Ant-Man, making him an integral part of the Hollywood superhero franchise. While
\nRenner’s Marvel credits have earned him critical acclaim and record-breaking box office numbers, there’s more to the actor’s resume than meets the eye. Today, we’re exploring the question, “Does Jeremy Renner play in superhero movies?” <\/p>\n

Before we proceed, it should be noted that Renner’s involvement in the world of comic books goes back further than his roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In 2005, the actor was cast as Hawkeye from the Marvel comics series Ultimate Avengers, making him the first actor to ever play the character on the big screen. Renner’s career then took an interesting direction as he chose to explore a variety of roles outside of the superhero genre. <\/p>\n

This included playing an infamous record producer in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and a troubled sniper in The Hurt Locker.
